While there wasn’t yet much snowfall this year, Sharethrough’s small but mighty teams showed up to Mont Tremblant, Quebec, ready to walk, run, and ski through the cold nights and sunny days for the 24h Tremblant fundraiser, raising money for the betterment of children’s health and well-being. Read more to learn about this amazing event and the Sharethrough team members that took it on this year!
The Sharethrough teams getting together before the event

Over the span of 24 hours, teams  participated in relay races or Fondation Tremblant, CHEO Foundation, and the Fondation Charles-Bruneau in support of  children with physical or mental illness and impairments, live in disadvantaged areas or require special needs. Halfway through the event, two members of Sharethrough’s ski team came in to provide some support for our running team by joining in the race and doing a few laps for the team, an excellent example of our corporate value in: stronger together and caring.

Our team captain and main organizer of the event for Sharethrough, Philippe Dubois, Director FP&A, describes his experience: "$5.8M raised this year is an all-time high for the event, and being at my 5th year participation I can tell that the energy level was also breaking records! From the highs of having fun between colleagues to the lows of running at 2AM in the cold, it really is an intense weekend, but the energy of the crowd and the impact it has on the cause of children makes it so worth it!!"

Our very own superstar athlete Chris Nash, Supply Operations Lead, covered the longest distance of the group totalling an impressive 87 kms. He had set out to beat his personal-best 24h Tremblant record of last year which was an impressive 64kms. Chris sums up his unforgettable experience: ‘2023 was my second year at 24h Tremblant - Super conditions, a sunny day and a chilly night, but no rain! It really allowed our small team to give it their all for these great causes and charity organizations. I am really grateful to Sharethrough for supporting this cause annually.”

Everyone can be proud of giving their time and energy to the event. Each lap on the ski slopes or the run/walk course starts to hurt a little bit more as the hours progress. The real motivation is that it is only temporary. I am proud of what we were able to achieve and collect as a team and look forward to being able to participate again next year!’

Chris Nash with colleague Laurence Champagne

The 24h Tremblant took place this year on  December 10 and 11, and amassed 485 teams and 4363 participants as they raced under the sun, moon, and alongside each other to support a worthy cause. A record was hit this year as the participants collected an impressive $ 5 837 297 in donations.

We are grateful to our employees for having volunteered, and praise their efforts in helping to raise awareness and funds to benefit the cause, and would like to thank everyone involved for their generosity and support.

Laurence Champagne, our Head of Legal and Compliance summed up the experience perfectly ‘It was my second year participating in the 24h Tremblant with Sharethrough and I am looking forward to participating again next year!! I am so happy and grateful that I can contribute to such a beautiful event and to raise money for children in need. It is such a rewarding experience’.
